How does it work?

Water Intake: Water is drawn into the pump from the pool via skimmer and main drain.
Filtration Process: Pump pushes water through the filter, trapping debris and impurities.
Heating and Chemical Treatment : Post-filtration, water may pass through a heater and chemical feeder.
Return to Pool: Clean, treated water is returned to the pool through return jets.

How to choose the RIGHT model?

1. Determine Pool Volume

For example, a pool measuring 10m in length, 4m in width, and an average depth of 1.5m.
Volume Formula: Length × Width × Depth=10*4*1.5=60m3/h

2. Confirm the Turnover Time

The general recommendation for swimming pool water circulation is typically 4-8 hours per day.
Solar pump working time is at least 6 hours per day.
Here we can choose turnover time 4 hours.

3. Determine Required Flow Rate:

Desired Turnover Rate = 4 hours
Required Flow Rate = Pool Volume / Turnover Rate = 60m3 / 4 hour=15m3/h

4. Selecting the Pump

Choose a pump that can handle at least 15m3/h to achieve the desired 4-hour turnover rate.
Consider a slightly higher capacity to account for filtration system resistance and potential efficiency losses.
So, we can choose LSP22/13-144/1100, the max flow is 22m3/h.

5. Selecting the Solar Panels

LSP22/13-144/1100, pump voltage is 144V, power 1100W. Best input voltage VOC is 90~340V.
Suppose you have 450W solar panel, open circuit voltage (VOC) : 41.25V, maximum power voltage (VMP): 34.7V.
Solar panel voltage and power should 20-50% higher than pump voltage and power.
So total solar panel voltage = pump voltage X(1+20%-50%) = 144 X 1.2~1.5=172.8~216V
So total solar panel Power = pump power X(1+20%-50%) = 1100W X 1.2~1.5=1320 ~ 1650W
solar panel quantity = total solar panel votalge / solar panel VMP = 172.8~216 / 34.7 = 4.9~6.2pcs
5pcs solar panel power is 450W X 5pcs = 2250W
5pcs solar panel VOC is 41.25V X 5pcs = 206.25V, it’s in best input voltage VOC 90~340V
2250W is higher than 1320~1650W, so it’s ok.
